Shimano Europe B.V. is the intermediate between the headquarter in Japan and the European bicycle market for marketing, sales, product development and technical service. Shimano Europe B.V. maintains intensive contacts with distributors, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s), wholesalers and the bicycle retail business.

MARKETING OFFICER

The job
As a Marketing Officer you are responsible for development, coordination and fine-tuning of Shimano’s marketing mix for consumer products such as Shimano cycling shoes, wheels, cycling wear and several other product categories. Based on intensive studies and market feedback you are expected to translate developments in the market and customer demands in the several European countries, in order to further strengthen Shimano’s market position.
The Marketing Officer reports to the Sr. Marketing Manager and works closely together with colleague Marketing Officers and Sales & Product Managers in Europe and Japan.


Requirements
For the job we expect candidates to have:
• A finalized commercial education on Bachelor level
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar job in an international B to B environment
• Affinity and/or knowledge of the bicycle market is essential
• Initiative, self-supportiveness and a sense of responsibility
• Communicative skills in different cultures and a flexible and service minded attitude
• Excellent language skills English, both verbal as in writing
• Some language skills in French and/or German are considered a plus
• Basic skills on Word, Excel and statistical analysis ability is required
